Random House Mondadori unites some of the most outstanding imprints in Spanish-language book publishing. Literary houses like Sudamericana, Lumen, Debate and Mondadori come together with imprints aiming for a wider audience Plaza & Janés, Grijalbo and DeBolsillo—and with others specialized in subject areas or audiences like the young adult and children’s publishers Montena and Beascoa.
Poetry and fiction, illustrated books, pocket books, practical guides and complete works... make up an extensive catalogue that reflects today’s cultural trends.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Beascoa forms part of the Random House Mondadori joint venture since 2001. With more than 1,200 titles, its catalogue is exclusively directed to children’s literature (0-6 years) and is distributed in all of the group’s territories.
Throughout its existence, Beascoa has always been at the forefront of developing innovative concepts and formats. The imprint was a pioneer for introducing the category of "libros vivos" ("live books"): adventurous books of extraordinary quality, whose content and images seem to jump out from every page to capture the reader’s attention and offer constant surprises.
All of Beascoa’s projects target younger readers, with the ambitious goal of combining learning and fun. Beascoa offers beautifully-illustrated stories about the children’s world most popular figures. Its collections combine tales based on local traditions with loving and educational characters like Barbapapa, the entire Disney family, Spain’s popular Los Lunnis and the renowned Fisher-Price series of playbooks.
In recent years, Beascoa has introduced illustrated albums into its catalogue and is currently a leader in the category. It should also be said that the majority of the books that it publishes each year are released in Catalan and often translated into several languages. Beascoa also co-edits and distributes its books in more than 35 countries.
